Thanks for providing such a great platform.
I just want to know in which circumstances or condition triggered the Pausing of the service. Although it is easy to resume , but as a developer knowing the core issue is satisfactory and if there is anything doing or updating needed i will do. Once again thanks.
Hey there,
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the platform! To answer your question, we pause the services of inactive users on the Hobby plan. Inactive meaning a user on the Hobby plan who has not signed into their account in the last 7 days. We do not pause the services of users who are frequently logging into their accounts or who have upgraded to one of our plans. Let me know if this helps answer your question!
I suppose this is a catch in the “free” service.
I guess my hunch was correct. This service seemed too good to be true, especially when all cloud services are killing their free tiers.
Not sure where you see a “catch”, we’re pausing services on inactive accounts to not waste resources, that’s all.
The catch is to make free tier users login after every week which is pretty unreasonable imo. Maybe if it was a month then it would have been fine.
Another reason I call this a catch because I don’t see this pausing thing mentioned anywhere in pricing/docs.
Also, I was under the impression that my app will idle if it is not receiving traffic, so idk how much resources it is wasting.
