Service went to sleep without notification?

Hello,

A service (of an organization on the Hobby plan) which has been running fine for 8 months suddenly went to sleep without warning. I suspect this is because I forgot to to the every-two-week login, but I did not get a login reminder like usual (I checked my inbox, including spam, and the previous reminder was from four weeks prior to when the service went to sleep).

Any ideas about what might have happened, and how I could potentially prevent this in the future? I couldn’t find anywhere to manage email settings, if that might have been the issue.

Services running on Free instances now automatically scale down to zero if they don’t receive traffic for 1 hour. The Service wakes up in a couple of seconds when receiving an HTTP request.

This is a new change to help sustain the cost of operating our free tier at scale.
