Changelog #67 - Faster deployments for new Hobby users and new control panel enhancements

Hello, and welcome to this week’s changelog update!

Before jumping in, we want to make sure you know what’s around the corner… Launch Week #2! If you’ve been following our progress, you surely have a few clues about what’s in store.

All right, now let’s dive into what’s new this week:

  1. Faster deployments for new Hobby users

Services deployed by new Hobby users now leverage our new network stack in Frankfurt and Washington. The new network stack accelerates deployments, leading to a smoother experience. Migrations to the new network stack will continue over the next few weeks.

  2. Control panel: Improved deployment navigation experience

Upcoming deployments turning healthy now stay in the Upcoming section on the Service overview page. This helps identify the next deployment to be promoted as active deployment once network propagation is complete. Previously, a healthy upcoming deployment was moved to the History section until it was promoted, which created confusion.

  3. Control panel: Access deployment definition from deployment overview

You can now access the entire deployment definition from the deployment overview. This is helpful to check the full configuration for each of your deployments.

  4. Control panel: Fixed issue for logs on deployment without rebuild

Logs for new deployments without rebuilds are visible again. Due to a regression in the control panel, the logs of the build reused for deployments without rebuilds were inaccessible.
